Images with Stone and Glass

The reflection of light on stone or the effect of light passing through glass and bouncing back out altered by the color of the glass is directly related to my interest in the glazing and scumbling techniques of master painters from the Renaissance. The stone and glass also serves as a metaphorical simulation of the gems used in Byzantine and Post Byzantine icon painting. The paintings in this portfolio have been done in oils and acrylic on plastered wood and masonite panels combining iconic imagery with the embedding of stone and glass in etched plaster .

All of the paintings in this portfolio as well as, all the other portfolios on this site are for sale. Click on image info under each painting for pricing and other information.  Please feel free to contact me with any additional inquiries.
